Schenk Homestead Farm is offering CSA shares for our Naples and surrounding communities for the 2024 season! CSA pick up will be at the Farm on Thursday from 4 to 7pm, at the Brighton Farmers Market on Sunday from 9am-1pm, or at Microclimate in Geneva on Mondays from 5-7pm. We will offer pre-packaged boxes that allow for quick pick up and ease. The Main Season CSA will last 20 weeks, from June 13th through October 31st. Three share sizes available (Small, Medium, Large).
- The Small share is 5 items per week, good for households of 1-2. $400 for 20 week Main Season ($20 a week)
- The Medium share is 8 items per week, good for households of 3-5. $650 for 20 week Main Season. ($32.50 a week)
- The Large share is 12 items per week. good for households of 4-6. $900 for 20 week Main Season. ($45 a week)
We grow a variety of items, including cut greens (lettuce mix, asian greens mix, baby kale, arugula, mizuna, braising greens mix), head lettuce, kale, swiss chard, radishes, turnips, snow peas, snap peas, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, onions, garlic, shallots, celery, carrots, beets, snap beans, summer squash, winter squash, potatoes, daikon radish, microgreens, bok choy, spinach, cucumbers, and herbs. You can expect a mix of these options based on the season. Each box will usually contain a green (s), bunched roots, herbs, and in season vegetable like tomato, pepper, eggplant, etc.
CSA members will have first dibs on wholesale vegetables for preserving for winter and sales that we offer throughout the season. Each week, share members will recieve an email update with share previews, recipes, and updates from the farm.
Main Season CSA Share
There may be weeks where there are similar items included in the CSA share due to weather conditions, crop failures, or seasonality. Examples include:
Boxes including both slicing and cherry tomatoes, both head lettuce and cut greens, or various kinds of radishes or winter squash.
